Disney’s marketing process for the jungle book 2016.
Disney started to market the film through a sneak peek event which seated 7800 where they showed a short clip from the movie. They also handed out movie posters which were then posted on social media for the whole world to see. As the movie featured many already famous actors/ actresses’ voices adults also seemed interested and continued to watch the trailer. The trailer would naturally interest women as it is a Disney movie, how ever they decided to add things in which would attract the male audience as well. Rather than saying that the movie was produced by a cartoon fairy tale they said it was produced by the makers of the ‘pirates of the Caribbean’. Disney land was a perfect way to advertise the movie as it attracts thousands of people a day. The movie also made merchandise when it was released which made more money. The marketing of the movie was extremely successful as it has nearly made 1 million dollars world wide with only a 177 million dollar budget.
